Sandra Ascencio: My name is Sandra Ascencio, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California. I am passionate about serving immigrant communities through compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed mental health care.
As an immigrant myself, I understand firsthand the challenges and complexities of navigating the U.S. immigration system. My clinical experience stems from serving children and families from both immigrant and diverse cultural backgrounds. This experience allows me to approach each evaluation with empathy, cultural humility, and a deep understanding of the psychological impact of trauma and family separation.
Since 2021, I have specialized in conducting immigration mental health evaluations for individuals seeking immigration relief via comprehensive immigration evaluations that accurately reflect each client's experiences and mental health needs.
In addition to providing immigration mental health evaluations, I am committed to supporting and educating fellow mental health professionals who are interested in developing competency in this specialized area of practice.
